Initially, Dr. Alexander Ash will do an analysis and go through a series of questions to understand the root of a patient’s anxiety, in order to determine whether he might be able to guide them out of that fear state. These are baby steps to gaining confidence and taking on your anxiety, but they’re important and very effective. TYPES OF DENTAL SEDATION OFFERED
Imagine waking up to a new smile. You can get all your dentistry done in one sitting if you chose too! This will save you time coming and going to the dentist. You can decide how you want to divide your treatment, or if you want to divide it at all. Once a treatment plan is established, the patient can choose from a number of forms of sedation dentistry:
Laughing Gas
Also known as Nitrous Oxide or NO2, this is a light simple solution to relieving your dental anxiety. Dr. Alexander Ash’s state of the art facility is well equipped and designed for giving you a beautiful elegant environment to have laughing gas administered. Using laughing gas is a very easy and safe option. You will be awake and leave the office fully alert, without any drowsiness. Laughing gas wears off 5 minutes after administration is ceased. You can even get your regular cleaning done with laughing gas every time if you choose too.
Oral Sedation with Pills
We can offer patients prescription medications in pill form to help relax and comfortably complete the necessary treatments. These are medications like Valium or Halcion to take the edge off. We spend time prepping and educating patients on what to expect and how to manage the medication should this form of sedation be selected. As these prescribed medications can make an individual very calm and incredibly relaxed, many patients end up falling asleep and napping while the dental work is performed.
IV SEDATION
For patients who wish to be completely asleep for their procedures, IV sedation offered, which is the truest form of sleep dentistry. Our state of the art facilities are equipped to offer IV sedation and we offer an incredibly safe working environment with the best available technology to closely monitor the patients during the procedure.

Dr. Farzad Mahjoubi completed his anesthesiology residency at USC after attending Chicago Medical School.
